2026 TANC Convention

At this convention, we will reflect on our organizing, chart a path for the coming year, elect organization-wide coordinators, and consider changes and additions to our Platform and Constitution. Here’s what you need to know to begin preparing…

1. Become a member or increase your dues amount! We use our dues to support organizing efforts and for important events like our convention. Sign up, increase your dues, or update your contact information here at www.baytanc.com/signup.
2. Register here by October 21st. Share the registration link with your local. Technically it will remain open past the deadline, but we’ll be able to better support your needs and budget if we know how many people are attending.
3. Start discussing changes you want to see in the union with your local. Locals are the beating heart of TANC and they’re where the most important organizing happens. What changes do you want to see for the coming year to support your organizing? You can submit a proposal or constitutional amendment using this website. Due October 21st.
4. Consider becoming a Coordinator. Feel free to reach out to any current coordinators or discuss with your locals about coordinator opportunities. Think someone else might be interested in becoming a coordinator? Nominate yourself or someone else using this link here. More info on the roles in the link.
5. Volunteer for a role on the day of convention. We are still in need of convention support, from small lifts to large ones. Take a look at the roles list we’ve included in the registration form and check all the boxes that interest you. The planning committee will be in touch about further volunteer opportunities.
6. Lastly, join us on Sunday, October 4th from 3:30-5:30 at 1610 Harrison St. Suite D for our last assembly before convention. We’ll continue Part 2 of our discussion on Renovating the Tenant Union.
